After acquiring a 2003 Mercedes-Benz E320 Wagon, I had to confront the issue of needing an auxiliary audio input. Cassette & FM adapters were out of the question as well as aftermarket headunits. I didn't want to give up the steering wheel control integration, amongst other things like the MB aesthetic. Fortunately a friend of mine had a Dension ICELink iPod adapter, but it takes the place of the CD changer. I wasn't too keen on giving up the CD changer, but decided to try out the ICELink anyway. It did not work as well as it should for costing ~$400USD. I decided to take things in to my own hands and disassembled the Becker "Audio 30" headunit and find a place in the signal path to tap into... more soon
